EVENT: Dr Robert Buckman, UofT alumni event

Dr. Robert Buckman, noted Humanist and author of Can We Be Good without God, will be giving a talk on "stress", at the Alumni Association Spring Reunion May 29. This event is sold out, unfortunately, but we'll watch for more events from Dr. Buckland. (Mary scored 2 tickets, so I'll try to report back).

EVENT: In the Beginning was the Big Bang - Astrophysics Lecture May 13

The Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA) will be celebrating its 25th anniversary by hosting a free public lecture featuring Janna Levin of Barnard College of Columbia University and Ralph Pudritz of McMaster University. Prof. Levin and Prof. Pudritz will present talks entitled "In the Beginning there was a Big Bang" and "From First Stars to First Life", respectively.
